Apple Macbook? Do you get the most for your money?

You do, somewhat, pay for the name, but Apple makes very good products! My worship leader has several. And the only reason he has more than one is because he just upgrades with each purchase. They're great products, in my opinion. If you get one, you can buy one through Best Buy and get an accidental plan where if you drop it or almost any accidents are covered. Just saying. :)
