A Goonies Question From a Devoted Fan?

First of all, I absolutely love the movie Goonies and have absolutely loved it since I first saw it as a kid. Somebody recently told me that director Steven Speilberg was inspired to do the movie after watching an old Little Racsals movie. I havent seen all of the little rascals movies and I was wondering if anyone know of a little Racsals movie that might have inspired Steven Speilberg to do Goonies.
