Watering Gaillardia Arizona Sun (blanket flower) plant?
Great question and one that I just encountered again, myself. While the plant is drought resistant you should supply water on a as needed basis. the best way to determine if the Gaillardia "Arizona Sun' needs water is to stick you finger in the soil and if the soil is moist do not water until the soil drys a bit and do not over water. From experience I have killed a few blanket flowers by over watering. I test and test places around my home to plant these stunning plants. I have so much shade and then my perennial beds are watered automatically. So in my endeavor to plant several Gaillardia's around my house I still end up killing some. Great plant information about the plant at this site: a href="http://www.naturehills.com/product/arizona_sun_gaillardia.aspx" rel="nofollow"http://www.naturehills.com/product/arizo…/a
