I changed the format of an audio file from wav to bmp. Then i changed it back to wav. The file is not playing?

do you have the option set to hide files extensions for known files types. The file could really be named something like this and you just don't know it xyz.wav.bmp and it would only show you xyz.wav if you had the option set to hide file extensions for known file types.
