Has anyone ever experienced cardiac problems when Gadolinium was injected?
Everybody says no side effects unless you have kidney problems, but 3 months ago when I had an MRI w/contrast, as soon as the dye was injected I honestly thought my heart was coming out of my chest! The nurse said that's not possible, but it DID happen. Now I have to have another MRI, and my dr says it HAS to be done w/contrast. (They're looking for lesions to rule out MS) Do you think I should refuse instead of testing fate and possibly end up in cardiac arrest this time? Isn't there a way to see lesions without dye?
