Do you think that political correctness has gone too far?

Don't get me wrong.....the theory is sound and it has gone a long way to breakdown stereotypes and promote equality in society. On the other hand; has it reduced our freedom of speech? Does it impede fair debate? Has it ironically reduced our rights as individuals?
